About the role
Avantduo is looking for an Accountant to join our Finance team. You will be responsible for financial reporting, reconciliation, and bookkeeping for both internal operations and client accounts. This role offers exposure to diverse industries and the opportunity to work with modern accounting tools and automation.
This is an entry-level position (0-2 years experience). We assess candidates holistically - considering experience, capabilities, and expectations together.
What you'll do
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records
- Perform monthly reconciliations and closing activities
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare financial reports and statements
- Support audit processes and compliance requirements
- Manage client bookkeeping and financial records
- Identify opportunities for process improvement
- Collaborate with the finance team on special projects
What we're looking for
- 0-2 years accounting experience
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS)
- Experience with accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks)
- Strong Excel skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and organizational skills
